COMPLAINT FOR DIVORCE 

The Complaint for divorce below should be useful in most states, especially when filling for a MUTUAL CONSENT or NO FAULT divorce.

A divorce complaint usually contains:

  • the plantif (spouse filing)
  • the defendant (spouse being sued)
  • court and docket number
  • residence, jurisdiction, date and place of marriage
  • basis for divorce
  • children custody and visitation
  • support and alimony
  • property settlement agreement
  • date and signature by the plaintiff
  • sworn affidavit signed by plaintiff (requested by some states)
  • affidavit of consent (requested by some states)
  • other court actions,
  • request for a judgment dissolving the marriage and any additional relief sought.
